Chloe Sevigny has landed another to-die-for role, signing on to headline the A&E drama pilot Those Who Kill. The Big Love actress — whose DirecTV murder-for-hire series Hit & Miss will not be returning for a second season — will play Catherine, a detective who possesses a deep understanding of the serial killers she hunts. X-Files vet Glen Morgan penned the script for the pilot, which is based on the Danish series Den Som Dræber. Morgan will serve as an exec producer alongside Imagine TV’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. The pilot shoots this fall in Pittsburgh under the direction of Joe Carnahan (The Grey). Sevigny is currently co-starring as a psycho nymph in FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum.
Chloe Sevigny has revealed that she is not signed up for a prospective second season of Hit and Miss.
The actress claimed to be the only member of the main cast not optioned for future editions of the Sky Atlantic drama, but said that she would be open to returning as transgender assassin Mia if asked.
On whether Hit and Miss will be back for more episodes, Sevigny told TV Guide: “They want to see how people react, and maybe what the creators can come up with story-wise.
“The other actors were all optioned for another season. I was the only one who wasn’t, oddly. I guess they knew they wouldn’t be able to get me if I had to sign on for several seasons.”
She continued: “I’d want to see what they would do with the story [in season two], where the characters would go. I really enjoyed playing the character.”
The Big Love star previously admitted that wearing a prosthetic penis for the role made her feel “like a freak”.
Here are some promotional cast shots and a poster for Sky Atlantic’s new series “Hit & Miss” that premiered last Tuesday.
High concept and ambitious, Hit and Miss follows Sevingy’s Mia, a contract killer with a secret: she’s a pre-op transsexual. Mia’s life is sent into a tailspin when she receives a letter from an ex-girlfriend dying from cancer revealing that Mia fathered a son eleven years ago. Faced with a difficult decision, Mia becomes the guardian to a new family, a choice that forces her to mix her killer instincts with her newly acquired maternal ones. “Hit & Miss” tells the story of a lethal killer at the heart of a troubled family and how all of their lives will be dramatically changed forever.
