The second season of TV Land’s sophomore comedy The Exes is getting supersized. The network has ordered 10 more episodes from the ensemble comedy, bringing its second-season order to 22 episodes. The Exes, created by Frasier alum Mark Reisman, stars Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche, Kelly Stables and Kristen Johnston. It premiered late last fall with a 10-episode original run and was renewed for a second season in February. The first portion of Season 2, which wrapped in September, averaged 1.2 million viewers in Live+7.

Glee vet Dot-Marie Jones has signed on to make a cameo is an upcoming episode of the cabler’s sophomore sitcom The Exes, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The actress — who scored a second-consecutive Emmy nod for her work on the Fox hit — will appear in a nightclub scene with series leads Kristen Johnston, Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche and Kelly Stables, as well as guest star Amanda Detmer, who is playing Johnston’s perfect sister Jill.
The episode, which also features the return of Judith Light as Johnston’s mother, is slated to air Aug. 22.
Last month, Jones confirmed to TVLine that she’ll be returning to Glee this season. “I don’t know how many episodes,” she said. [But] I definitely know I’m coming back as a guest star.”
Diedrich Bader is returning to TV Land’s comedy The Exes, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Bader, who appeared in an episode last season, will reprise his role as Paul, an attorney who Holly (Kristen Johnston) works with. Holly has a major crush on Paul and when he returns after recovering from a heart attack, she’s determined to tell him how she really feels.
Paula Jai Parker (Hustle & Flow) will also appear in the episode, which is slated to air August 8.
The Exes airs Wednesdays at 10:30/9:30c on TV Land.
