Zap2It: 10 Spoilers: Doppelganger drama on ‘Vampire Diaries,’ an ‘Arrow’ first encounter, and ‘New Girl’ gets it on

Since Mondays are just the worst, we here at Zap2it have decided to give your week a much-needed wake-up call with 10 TV teasers — just to remind you that when the work day is over, your DVR waits to welcome you home.

This week, our Monday Kickstart includes “Arrow” dish from Colton Haynes, “Supernatural” scoop from Jeremy Carver, and “Beauty and the Beast dish from Jennifer Levin.

“Arrow”: We’ve all been waiting for the moment when Roy Harper meets Oliver Queen without his hood… and it’s coming. Thea confides in Oliver that she and Roy have been looking for the vigilante. “He comes and confronts me and pretty much tells me that it’s a bad idea. He’s a little stern with Roy. Roy, of course, does his eye-roll, and isn’t happy with Oliver, and kind of still thinks Oliver’s kind of a wimp,” Colton Haynes tells us. Roy is in for a bit of a surprise when he finally does find out the identity of the Hood — but don’t expect it to happen any time soon!

“New Girl”
: “Teen Wolf’s” Dylan O’Brien guest stars in this week’s episode as the dreamiest tuxedo-pant-wearing guitar-strumming teenager you’ve ever seen, who steps in when Jess’s prom date goes awry. When we see him as an adult, he’s slightly less dreamy. One of our favorite parts of the episode doesn’t have anything to do with Jess — just wait until you see what happened when Nick’s dad took him and Winston went on a trip to New York as kids. There’s a woman named Octopussy involved. We’re pretty sure that’s not her real name.

“The Vampire Diaries”: As we previously revealed, Damon and the rest of Elena’s friends aren’t going to have the easiest time torturing her… after all, they still believe that somewhere deep down, she’s the girl they all love. So they have to call in the big guns. You know who won’t have any issues taking Elena to task? The recently-scorned Katherine. Expect another showdown between the Petrova doppelgangers this week.

“The Mindy Project”: Love triangle alert! Mindy’s blossoming relationship with Pastor Casey reaches a turning point this week when they can no longer ignore their religious differences. Meanwhile, Brendan Deslaurier is ready and waiting to make his latest play for Mindy’s heart.

“Supernatural”: The hug between the Winchesters in last week’s episode marked a turning point for them — and a return to the sort of solid bond they haven’t had in a few seasons. “Given how the boys reunited at the beginning of this season, not on the best terms, the one thing that did unite them was this sense of revenge against Crowley and the demons,” says executive producer Jeremy Carver. “Now, we’re going to see things start moving pretty quickly and pretty wildly. A lot of balls in the air. The boys are really going to be constantly confronted with the idea of, ‘Okay, we want revenge, but how far are we willing to go? How much are we willing to sacrifice?'” It’s a theme that drove them when “Supernatural” began, and we’ll find them looking at the question in a new light toward the finale.

“Castle”: When Beckett steps on a bomb in this week’s episode — and can’t move for fear of detonating it — she and Castle take a little trip down memory lane, reflecting back on the key moments in their epic love story. They get a surprise at the end, though, when it’s revealed that the Captain not only knows about their relationship, but has known for a while.

“The Big C”: Alan Alda is back as Dr. Sherman, but his relationship with Cathy makes a pretty dramatic shift in the season premiere. His outlook on things causes Cathy to make some big changes in her every day life, which she is really happy about, even if she is increasingly more exhausted from the chemo treatments.

“Defiance”: After an episode away, Kenya Rosewater is back, getting her dominatrix on in her occupation at the Need/Want bar — until an S&M encounter goes horribly awry. Not even the safe word (“calamari,” which we don’t like as well as Michael Scott’s “foliage”) can help Kenya’s partner.

“Melissa & Joey”: Joe is looking to move on in his career path, which Melissa has a huge problem with — but is it because she still needs a nanny or is it because she doesn’t want to lose him? Fortunately, she doesn’t have to ‘fess up to the latter because a situation to keep Joe in the family falls right into her lap.

“Beauty and the Beast”: Gabe has been a rather mysterious character on “Beauty and the Beast” ever since his arrival. We know he’s causing trouble and has an agenda, but there’s no way — so far — to know if that agenda is on the side of good or the side of evil. Look forward to finding out soon. According to executive producer Jennifer Levin, “[Gabe] is going to cause a lot of problems for Catherine and Vincent … So we’re sort of playing that: Is he good or is he bad?” Although Levin wouldn’t give many more clues — saying only that Gabe might “face” or “kill” Vincent and Catherine — she did promise an answer would come before the end of Season 1. She also promised that that answer would be very much worth the wait.

FREE TV!

… USA’s upcoming drama Graceland is now available via On Demand through most cable carriers (check your On Demand guide), in case you’re one of those people who doesn’t like to wait for things. The show is about agents of the FBI, DEA, and U.S. Customs who all live in the same apartment. Graceland makes its television debut on June 6, but now you can watch it early and spoil it for your friends. [USA via press release]

… Or if comedy’s more your thang, IFC has posted the entire first episode of its upcoming comedy Maron, starring Marc Maron as a guy who complains about things a lot, on its website.   [IFC.com]

BUSINESS TIME

… NBC is bringing back Do No Harm to mercifully finish up its first season on Saturday nights beginning June 29 at 10pm, and ABC is burning off the leftover episodes of Zero Hour, also on Saturdays, starting June 15 at 8pm. [Futon Critic]

… In case the screeching caterwauling of The Voice‘s amateur singers isn’t doing it for you, NBC is bringing in some PROS. The singing competition will welcome guest performers Rod “Do You Think I’m Sexy” Stewart and CeeLo “F*ck You” Green to its May 8 episode, and Robin “My Dad Was the Guy from Growing Pains” Thicke, Pharrell Williams, and T.”Texas Instruments” I. to its May 14 episode. [NBC via press release]

… Spike TV is getting into scripted television. The testosterone-fueled channel has five “special-event series” projects in development. Included in the lot are Hit Men, following the mafia’s takeover of the music industry in the 1970s, and The Lamp, about a secret ’70s government agency that found Aladdin’s Lamp. [Spike TV via press release]

… The final three episodes of New Girl, including tomorrow’s installment, will start two whole minutes early, at 8:58pm. Is it two extra minutes of commericals? Is it 120 seconds more of Zooey Deschanel pushing her glasses up her nose? Is it one-thirtieth of an hour of Schmidt taking his shirt off? I don’t know, but for some reason I am unreasonably upset at Fox for this. [Fox via press release]

CASTING NEWS

… The next season of American Horror Story, which will be known as American Horror Story: Coven, is adding Oscar nominee and The Big C star Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) to its cast. But because the news was announced via Ryan Murphy’s twitter, we have no information on Sibide’s role except that Murphy is “thrilled” about it.  [Ryan Murphy’s Twitter]

… Hey did you know that John Krasinski also known as The Office‘s Jim also known as that guy who is always making faces at the camera is going to appear in the new Arrested Development? Well now you do! [EW]

… Comedian Sarah Silverman is getting her own HBO standup special. Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles will premiere sometime this fall. [HBO via press release]
