Annie Ilonzeh has landed a potentially recurring role on the CW saga, TVGuide.com reports, playing a high school friend of Catherine’s who is now a news reporter tracking a beastly scent.

Blair Redford, meanwhile, will guest-star in an episode as an Army buddy of Vincent’s who becomes “a terrifying opponent and a dangerous threat” to the beast.

Fun fact: Both Ilonzeh and Redford recurred last season on Switched at Birth, albeit separately.

• True Detectives, HBO’s new right-episode crime drama starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, is slated to bow in January 2014. A full-length trailer for the series — which centers on two detectives whose lives collide during a 17-year hunt for a serial killer — will debut this Sunday ahead of the Boardwalk Empire premiere.

It’s official: Mistresses Alyssa Milano will host Project Runway All Stars‘ third season, launching Oct. 24.

Starz’s new Ron Moore-helmed series Outlander has added Graham McTavish (The Hobbit) and Gary Lewis (Gangs of New York). The project follows a married combat nurse from 1945 who is swept back in time to 1743 and forced to marry another man (played by UK actor Sam Heughan).

Animal Planet has renewed My Cat From Hell for a 16-episode fifth season, to bow in 2014.

Priestley joins the installment’s previously cast Bethany Joy Lenz and returning vet Marg Helgenberger.

Comedy Central will livestream its James Franco Roast, which debuts this Labor Day Monday at 10 pm EST. The broadcast will be available via the cabler’s website, mobile site and Xbox 360 app.

Russell Tovey (BBC’s Being Human) has joined HBO’s San Francisco-set dramedy Looking, per The Hollywood Reporter. The project, starring Glee‘s Jonathan Groff, centers on the three Bay Area friends enjoying what life has to offer a new generation of gay men. Justified‘s Walton Goggins is developing a cop drama with Shield executive producer Adam Fierro for Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Titled Gringo, the project revolves around an American cop who ends up amid cartel wars after moving to Mexico.

• Reeve Carney, who played Peter Parker in Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, has joined Showtime’s eight-episode “literary horror” series Penny Dreadful. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Carney will play Dorian Gray.

• Erstwhile Wonder Woman Lynda Carter will play “a version of herself” in Two and a Half Men‘s upcoming Season 11 (premiering Sept. 26), EW.com reports.

FX has greenlit After Anarchy, a three-episode online aftershow centering on the Kurt Sutter-created biker drama, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Hosted by Chelsea Lately‘s Chris Franjola, the 30-minute series will stream live on FX’s website following Sons‘ Season 6 premiere on the East Coast, as well as after Episode 5 and the season finale.

Sons of Anarchy launches Sept. 10 at 10/9c.

• Bill Murray has been tapped to help David Letterman celebrate Late Show‘s 20th anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 29. The big-screen funnyman was both the series’ first guest when it premiered on CBS in 1993 and the inaugural guest on Letterman’s Late Night on NBC in 1982.

Matt Lucas will reunite with his Bridesmaids co-star Rebel Wilson on the comedienne’s new sitcom Super Fun Night. Per TVGuide.com, the Little Britain alum guest stars as Kimmie’s (Wilson) former co-worker.

ABC Family has given the green light to a new pilot exec-produced by and starring Tori Spelling. Titled Mystery Girls, the project centers on an ex-starlet who begins solving crimes with her former costar.

The futuristic sci-fi drama, bowing at midseason, centers on the aftermath of the government integrating a society of teen aliens (aka Atrians) with a group of humans.

Per E! Online, Penikett joins as a mysterious SEU (Sector Enforcement Unit) officer whose duties include supervising the Atrian sector’s walls.

• Fox has declined the Media Action Network for Asian Americans’ suggestion that the polarizing Dadspilot either reshoot or remove a scene deemed offensive, Deadline reports. The sequence in question involves an Asian-American woman (played by Brenda Song) required by her bosses to dress as a “sexy Asian schoolgirl” for the gratification of visiting Chinese businessmen. Instead, execs assured the organization that the character is portrayed as a “strong, intelligent, empowered young woman” throughout the season.

• Comedian DL Hughley has teamed with FX to develop a comedy series based on his life. According to Deadline, the project centers on the standup’s experiences as an unapologetically honest man.

• General Hospital alumna Lindsey Morgan (ex-Kristina) has joined The CW’s midseason drama The 100, per The Hollywood Reporter. Morgan boards the sci-fi series as a “fiercely determined” — and alarmingly young — mechanical engineer.

Lohan, who recently completed a court-mandated stint in rehab, will next air her dirty laundry on OWN’s Oprah’s Next Chapter. The episode airs Aug. 18.

That ’70s Show star Lisa Robin Kelly, who played the elder Foreman sibling on the Fox comedy, died Wednesday night at a rehab facility in California, TMZ reports. The actress’ rep tells the site that Kelly, who’d struggled with an alcohol problem for years, recently voluntarily checked herself in for treatment.

• Josh Gad (1600 Penn) will co-star opposite Billy Crystal in the FX pilot The Comedians, Deadline reports. The prospective series centers on a superstar comedian (Crystal) who reluctantly is paired with a younger, edgier comic (Gad) for a late-night sketch show.

• Johnathon Schaech has been tapped to do that thing he does on The CW’s midseason drama Star-Crossed, EW.com reports. Schaech (Ray Donovan) will recur as the uncle of Matt Lanter’s alien teen Roman.

• 30 Rock‘s Dean Winters and rapper Kid Cudi have nabbed guest spots in Fox’s new fall comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The project, described as a “blistering attack on our youth-obsessed culture,” centers on Thom Payne (played by Philip Seymour Hoffman), a man facing his own obsolescence after his ad agency is taken over. Ifans will play Payne’s boss. Kathryn Hahn (Parks and Recreation) also co-stars.

Best known from his big-screen offerings, Ifans’ other credits include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, The Five-Year Engagement and Notting Hill.

Adam Ferrara has been promoted to series regular in Nurse Jackie‘s sixth season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Tina Fey and her 30 Rock co-showrunner Robert Carlock are back in business with NBC. Per Deadline, the pair is set to executive-produce a new workplace comedy in which a young woman reconnects with her father on Fire Island. Colleen McGuinness (also from 30 Rock) will helm the project.

Lifetime has teamed with tragic love story novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook) on Deliverance Creek, a two-hour backdoor pilot. The period drama is set near the end of the Civil War and follows a young woman defending her family’s land.

HBO has given the green light to The Money, a new drama pilot from David Milch (NYPD Blue, Luck), Deadline reports. Starring Brendan Gleeson (Braveheart) as a mega-mogul, the project centers on wealth and corruption among the super elite.

As previously announced, Seth Rogen will act as Roastmaster.

Freddie Prinze Jr. has been tapped to appear in an episode of Lifetime’s sexy new drama Witches of East End. Per EW.com, he’ll play an entomologist who falls for Wendy, who just so happens to be played by his former Freddie co-star Madchen Amick.

Chris Diamantopoulos (The Office) and Jake Sandvig (Cracking Up) have been tapped to star in Bryan Fuller’s new Syfy pilot High Moon, per The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the novel The Lotus Caves, the potential series centers on a future in which the countries of Earth have established colonies to mine the moon’s resources. However, chaos erupts after a new life form is discovered.

Whodunnit host Gildart Jackson will guest-star in Supernatural‘s ninth season, per The Hollywood Reporter, playing a member of the Men of Letters in a 1930s flashback. The CW spookfest premieres Oct. 8.

The Lying Game‘s Allie Gonino has joined Sundance Channel’s new drama The Red Road (fka The Descendants), The Hollywood Reporter reports. The series revolves around a sheriff (played by Off the Map‘s Martin Henderson) struggling to keep his family together while policing two clashing communities. Gonino will play the daughter of a local cop.

• Real-life besties Casey Wilson (Happy Endings) and June Diane Raphael (Burning Love) have signed a blind script deal with ABC Studios. Per Deadline, the pact finds Raphael starring in a new comedy project with a possibility for Wilson to appear on-screen, as well.

• Juliette Lewis has been tapped to co-star in Fox’s new event series Wayward Pines, Deadline reports. From The Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan, the drama centers on a Secret Service agent (played by Matt Dillon) searching for two missing agents in the titular town. Lewis joins as a small-town bartender.

• Fox has put into development a romantic drama from Bones‘ Hart Hanson and Rubicon‘s Jason Horwitch, Deadline reports. Set in San Francisco, the project follows a female detective and her unlikely ally.

John Ratzenberger has been tapped to appear opposite his former Cheers co-star Ted Danson in an upcoming episode of CSI, EW.com reports.

• Outgoing Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones is developing a comedy for Fox with Parks scribe Alexandra Rushfield, per The Hollywood Reporter. Titled Stuck, the project — which does not currently star Jones — centers on a woman whose “stuck in childhood” daughter becomes her boss at a bank.

• Duck Dynasty‘s Si and Willie Robertson will guest-star in Last Man Standing‘s Season 3 premiere, airing Friday, Sept. 20.

• Jordana Spiro (Mob Doctor) has been cast opposite Justin Kirk in the FX drama pilot Tyrant, per The Hollywood Reporter. From Homeland EPs Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff and Six Feet Under‘s Craig Wright, the project follows an unassuming American family drawn into a turbulent Middle Eastern nation. Spiro joins as the wife and co-worker of Kirk’s American diplomat.

• Fox’s midseason comedy Surviving Jack has replaced Alex Kapp Horner with Rachael Harris (New Girl, Suits). She’ll play wife to Chris Meloni’s titular character in the Bill Lawrence-produced series, which centers on a boy becoming a man and a man becoming a father, “in a time before ‘coming of age’ was something you could Google.”

• Steven Culp (Grey’s Anatomy) wil recur on Season 2 of Revolution as clean-cut, dignified authority figure Edward Truman, per Deadline.

The Veronica Mars fave has been cast in an upcoming episode of the new fall drama (premiering Oct. 9), EW.com reports.

Dohring will play an ex-operative who once worked with the paramilitary group that hunts down the Tomorrow People. After going off the grid, the character is back to seek revenge.

• Fox is teaming with Veronica Mars/Party Down funnyman Ken Marino, his writer wife Erica Oyama and executive producer Will Gluck (Andy Richter Controls the Universe, The Michael J. Fox Show) on a comedy based on the lives of Dogfish Head Brewery’s Sam and Mariah Calagione. Per Deadline, Marino will star in the prospective series, which centers on a happy couple living the American dream.

• Paloma Kwiatkowski (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) has joined Bates Motel Season 2, Deadline reports. She’ll play a small-town party girl who catches Norman’s eye.

• Manolo Cardona (Covert Affairs) has been tapped to recur as the Prince of Portugal in Reign, The CW’s new royal period drama.
