Breakout your best black clothing as death is coming…again!
Teen Wolf‘s third season has been a bloody one so far and the bloodshed will continue in the MTV hit’s summer finale come Monday night. But just how many deaths should fans be prepared to endure? Will Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) interact at all? Does Scott (Tyler Posey) come face-to-face with his FBI agent father? And will the finale end on a cliffhanger? So many questions, so little time! But because we’re awesome, we’ve already seen the epic hour and are handing out scoop like it’s Halloween candy! We asked for your questions on Twitter and answered the ones we could without completely spoiling “Lunar Ellipse.”
Paleisnewblack: Does it wrap up enough of 3a to allow 3b to start fresh(ish)? Is it believable?
Wait, are you seriously asking if a show about werewolves is believable? Um, as believable as it can be? And yes, it feels like the closing of a chapter and the start of a new one…with the potential for this to be the end of the story for one of our characters who decides to leave town by episode’s end.
jennnnn92: will we find out more details about Scott’s dad?
While Scott’s dad is in the finale, he doesn’t play a major part. Scott and his father will come face-to-face though and Scott is not picking up anything that he’s putting down. But Papa McCall will definitely be sticking around Beacon Hills for a while.
christina_bucks: Will Stiles and Derek interact at all in the episode??
Negative. Sorry, Sterek ‘shippers.
Angela_Rocca: Is Stiles getting into a car accident? I saw something bad in the promo… #TeenWolf
There is one pretty gnarly car accident and one almost accident that occurs in a flashback.
PhantomRat: Just one important question: Would you make out with this finale?
We’d probably go to first base with this finale…with some over the shirt action. We’re classy like that.
onlymystory: Is Danny magic?
You mean is he magic during the five seconds we see of him? Yes, yes he is.
hannah_edgson: will it end on a terrible cliffhanger? #teenwolf
No, there’s a lot of closure, but still with plenty of set up for next season, including a new big bad that we’ve met before…
Grimes_Gurl: please tell me Isaac will be ok!?
Will be ever really be OK? But yes, he makes it out of the hour alive. And gets to snack on some Icebreakers along the way!
windycitygirl89: Is the connection that Stiles/Allison/Scott have now further addressed? If so, will we get a glimpse at how they feel afterwards?
The first scene reveals the connection, but there isn’t a lot of followup. Expect to see a lot more of “the darkness” and what it draws to Beacon Hills when the show returns in January. As for how they feel afterwards, it inspires Allison (Crystal Reed) to prepare herself for what’s to come, while Scott and Stiles are trying to stay positive…
_FireToYourIce: Will Derek get any moment of “triumph”? Or can I expect more pain?
To quote Katy Perry, you’re gonna hear him rooooooar. Well, kind of. But we feel like Derek finally has become the wolf/person he’s supposed to be, if that makes any sense.
Line of the Night: “Someone in desperate need of a pedicure. I’d be happy to give you a referral.” Heart you the most, Lydia.
Body Count: Definitely two.

The network has renewed the acclaimed series for a fourth season, with one significant change: Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler (90210, Cashmere Mafia) are stepping in as new showrunners, replacing series creator Lauren Iungerich, who exited at the end of June. The news was first reported by Deadline.
Awkward is slated to return with the second half of Season 3 in October.
Excited about the renewal news? Skittish about a change in the show’s creative leadership? Sound off below!
It’s time to meet the new girl!
Though we’re still knee-deep in drama during Teen Wolf‘s season 3A, we’ve got our hands on new character coming to the series that is sure to make the wait for season 3B’s premiere even more torturous. We’ve learned that Arden Cho will be joining the MTV hit series in a very heavy recurring role for multiple episodes when season 3B kicks off on Jan. 6, 2014.
A new student at Beacon Hills High who is of Korean and Japanese descent, Cho’s yet-to-be-named character’s arrival to town brings a unique new history and a new threat steeped in Asian mythology to Teen Wolf. Translation: She’ll be a pretty big deal in season 3B!
During Teen Wolf‘s panel at Comic-Con, executive producer Jeff Davis revealed that season 3B will have “a heavy Asian influence,” one that he’s “excited” will take the show in a new direction.
“We’re heading into a new mythology based on the Kitsune myth, which some people might know a little bit about,” he shared. “It is a very, very fascinating Japanese shapeshifter myth about the were-fox and the trickster spirit.”
Cho has made guest appearances on Pretty Little Liars and Rizzoli & Isles.
Teen Wolf airs Monday at 10 p.m. on MTV.
2013 Comic-Con: Teen Wolf Announces Season 3B Premiere Date! Plus, New Trailer Teases Kiss, Death and More
2013 Comic-Con got off to a howling start thanks to Teen Wolf‘s panel!
The MTV hit series’ excutive producer Jeff Davis and stars Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Daniel Sharman and Max and Charlie Carver took over Ballroom 20 at the Con to tease the rest of season 3A and brought along a little sneak peek at the epicness that the MTV hit series has in store for the last five episodes. Suggestion: Break out your paper bags now because you will be hyperventilating after watching this shiz.
Oh, and they decided to gift us all with season 3B’s premiere date! Teen Wolf will return for the second half of its third season on Jan. 6, 2014, so alert your pack now to save the date!
In the truly epic two-minute preview of what the rest of the season has in store, we see Deucalion (Gideon Emery) takings things to the next level in his battle with Scott (Posey): He kidnaps his mom! “Become the Alpha you were meant to be,” he tells our hero. “Become a killer.” Gulp!
But how can we focus on Deucalion’s warning when Stiles (O’Brien) and Lydia (Roden) share a kiss?! And Stiles is desperately trying to wake up a knocked-out Derek (Hoechlin)?! And the twins are constantly ripping their shirts off? And Stiles is sobbing? Feels, we’ve got ‘em!
Of the kiss, Davis teases, “The kiss isn’t just a kiss.” O’Brien adds, “It’s also sex.” And yes, the issue of Stiles’ virginity will be addressed by the end of the season.
Don’t worry, ladies, Roden promises that she was thinking of all of you while kissing O’Brien, who got a standing ovation when he walked out on stage. “These lips are for all you girls,” before calling her co-star “a great kisser.”
As for the mystery of what the hell Lydia actually is, Davis promises answers are coming very soon. In fact, it’ll be revealed in episode nine! He also reveals that the name of the episode, “The Girl Who Knew Too Much,” is a major clue. The title is a major reference to Alfred Hitchcock‘s classic movie of the same name, so get to iTunes, fans!
