Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens to Lend His Voice to The Tomorrow People

Dan Stevens has joined the cast of The Tomorrow People — sort of.

The Downton Abbey star, who left the acclaimed drama after last season, will lend his voice to the new CW series, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Based on the U.K. series of the same name, it’s the story of several young people from around the world — played by Peyton List, Robbie Amell, Luke Mitchell and Aaron Yoo, among them — who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers like teleportation and telepathy. They work together to defeat the forces of evil, otherwise known as a group called Ultra, which hunts down people with these special abilities. Stevens will voice TIM, the computer who assists the Tomorrow People.

Chuck‘s Phil Klemmer executive-produces with The Vampire Diaries‘ Julie Plec and Arrow‘s Greg Berlanti.

Stevens can next be seen in the film The Fifth Estate, which hits theaters Oct. 18.

The Tomorrow People, one of TVGuide.com’s 10 most-anticipated dramas, will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 9/8c on The CW.
