Casting Updates: Nashville Adds True Blood Wolfman, Breaking Bad Vet to Vegas and More!

Erstwhile True Blood packmaster Daniel Buran will soon be making sweet music on ABC’s Nashville. The actor has landed a recurring role on the country-tinged freshman drama, per The Hollywood Reporter, playing Cy, a Bon Jovi-like rockstar whose band is looking for a new guitar player. (Ahem, Deacon…) Buran — whose other credits include Criminal Minds and Southland — most recently appeared on Dexter as Wayne Randall, the incarcerated ex of Yvonne Strahovski’s murderous Hannah McKay.

• Breaking Bad‘s RJ Mitte has been tapped to guest-star on CBS’ rookie drama Vegas. Per The Hollywood Reporter, he’ll portray Nathan’s (Stephen Monroe Taylor) younger brother who has opted to move to Sin City for a life of crime with his sibling.

• Academy Award-winning musician Glen Hansard (Once) will make a cameo in a December installment of Parenthood, EW.com reports. The Swell Season frontman will use the Luncheonette to record some songs.

• Comedians Wayne Brady and Caroline Rhea have both booked guest spots in the upcoming second season of ABC Family’s Baby Daddy, TVGuide.com. Brady will drop by as a talk-show host, while Rhea is set to play the mother of leading man Ben’s pal Riley.
